Introducing our Reflex Curly Kale – a nutrient-packed leafy green that’s perfect for adding to your salads, smoothies, and stir-fries! This variety of kale has curly leaves that are dark green and slightly crinkled.
To grow your own Reflex Curly Kale, plant it in a position that receives full sun or partial shade. It prefers well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. It can be planted in the spring or autumn, but it’s best to plant it in the summer for a winter harvest.
The fruiting time for kale is usually in the winter, around 10-12 weeks after planting. It can grow up to 50cm in height with a spread of up to 50cm, making it great for containers and raised beds.
Kale is a heavy feeder, so it’s important to fertilize it regularly. Use a balanced fertilizer every four to six weeks, and apply a high-nitrogen fertilizer before transplanting. Water your kale regularly, especially during hot and dry weather.
To harvest your Reflex Curly Kale, pick the outer leaves as needed, leaving the inner leaves to continue growing. Kale is packed with vitamins and minerals, and can be enjoyed cooked or raw in a variety of dishes.
Add some nutrient-rich Reflex Curly Kale to your garden and enjoy the taste and health benefits it brings to your meals!
