Choisya ternata 2L

Choisya ternata, also known as Mexican Orange Blossom, is a beautifully scented, evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and clusters of fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. Flowering from late spring to early summer (May to June), with a second flush in autumn, it grows to a height and spread of 150-200cm, making it ideal for borders, hedging, or patio containers.

For best results, plant in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil. While it thrives in full sun, it can also tolerate partial shade. The best time to plant is autumn to early spring, giving the roots time to establish before summer growth. Although low maintenance, feeding with a general-purpose fertiliser in early spring will encourage strong growth and abundant flowering. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain a neat, compact shape.

Choisya ternata is excellent for pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies with its nectar-rich blooms. Its long flowering period provides a vital food source, supporting biodiversity and encouraging beneficial wildlife into your garden.
