Carex ‘Evergold’ – Elegant Evergreen Grass with Striking Variegation

Carex ‘Evergold’ is a graceful, clump-forming evergreen grass prized for its bold, variegated foliage. Featuring narrow, arching leaves striped with creamy-yellow centres and green margins, it adds vibrant texture and colour to borders, containers, and woodland gardens all year round.

Growing to around 40cm tall and wide, ‘Evergold’ is a versatile and compact ornamental grass, ideal for front-of-border planting, rockeries, or mixed perennial beds.

Best positioned in partial shade to full sun, it prefers moist, well-drained soil but adapts well to a range of garden conditions. It’s particularly effective in shaded or dappled light spots where its bright foliage can lighten darker areas.
