Hydrangea Mophead Pink 2 Ltr

Hydrangea Mophead Pink, also known as Hydrangea macrophylla, is a stunning deciduous shrub that produces large white flower heads in the summer. It is a versatile plant that can be grown in a variety of garden settings and is particularly popular for use in mixed borders, cottage gardens and as a specimen plant. Here is a description of Hydrangea Mophead White:

Best Position: Hydrangea Mophead Pink prefers a sheltered spot in partial shade, with protection from hot afternoon sun. It grows well in moist, well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. It is suitable for growing in a border or in a large container.

Flowering Time: Hydrangea Mophead Pink blooms from late spring to early autumn. The flower heads start off green, then turn white as they mature. They can reach up to 25cm across and are made up of numerous small individual flowers. The flowers are long-lasting and can be used in fresh or dried flower arrangements.

When to Feed and Prune: Hydrangea Mophead Pink benefits from a feed in spring with a slow-release fertiliser, and a top-up feed with liquid fertiliser during the growing season. Pruning should be carried out in late winter or early spring, before new growth starts. Dead or damaged wood can be removed, and the remaining stems can be cut back to a pair of healthy buds. This will encourage the growth of new shoots and ensure that the plant maintains a good shape.
